Setting Tabs

The editor supports tab stops in a source file. You can set the number of spaces a tab consists of, and then either save them as tabs or spaces when you save the file.

·To change tab settings:

1.Choose Environment from the Options menu. The Environment dialog box appears (Figure 2.3).

2.Enter the number of spaces to be used as a tab stop in the Tab Stops text box.

3.Choose the Keep Tabs option to treat tabs as a single tab character when the source file is saved.

Or choose Insert Spaces to convert tabs to the number of spaces shown in the Tab Stops box.

4.Choose OK.
