The Properties Bar is a rectangular area immediately below the Dialog Editor Menu Bar in the Dialog Editor window. It displays information about the identification number or symbol, text, and screen coordinates for the dialogs you create and the controls you place in them.
There are three configurations of the Properties Bar, depending on whether you select the current dialog, an icon control, or another type of control. These configurations will be discussed in the following three sections.
The following aspects of the Properties Bar are the same in each configuration.
At the left, the Properties Bar shows the screen coordinates of the currently selected dialog or control.
The position of the upper left corner of the selected dialog or control (x, y) is shown in the first field at the upper left.
The offset of the selected dialog or control, (cx) and (cy), is shown in the next two fields.
The position of the lower right hand corner of the selected dialog or control is shown in the fourth field at the bottom right.
The size and position values are given in horizontal and vertical dialog units. The horizontal units are 1/4 of the dialog base width unit; the vertical units are 1/8 of the dialog base height unit. The current dialog base units are computed from the height and width of the current font for the dialog.
