Editing Groups of Controls

You'll often find it useful to edit an entire group of controls. A group can be dragged, cut, copied, pasted, aligned, and sized.

Summary: Select the group of push buttons.

First, enlarge the OK button by dragging one of its corner handles with the mouse. Now select all three buttons by dragging open a rectangle with the mouse (see Figure 1.6). The rectangle selects all the controls that are at least partially within its boundaries.

Besides selecting a group with a rectangle, you can toggle a single control's selection state without affecting other controls by clicking on the control while holding down the SHIFT key. You can make a group out of a number of scattered controls by holding down SHIFT and clicking on each control.
