Printing

If you have connected and installed a printer within Windows, you can print text from the active window.

If you have more than one printer, you can change the current default selection with the Print dialog box from the File menu.

For information on installing printers, see Chapter 5 in the Windows User's Guide, “Control Panel.”

·To print the entire contents of the current source file:

1.From the File menu, choose Print. The Print dialog box appears (see Figure 2.6).

2.Select the All option in Print Range.

3.Choose OK.

·To print selected text in a source file:

1.Select the text to be printed.

2.From the File menu, choose Print.

3.Select the Selection option from Print Range.

4.Choose OK.

Use the Setup button to set printer-specific information. The Setup button calls a printer-supplied dialog box (see Figure 2.7), in which you can change the paper size, the orientation of the printing, the number of copies, and various other printing options.

·To change the default printer if your computer is connected to more than one printer:

1.From the File menu, choose Print.

2.Choose the Setup button.

3.Choose a printer from the drop-down list.

4.Press ENTER.
