The Tools command adds commands to the Tools menu. It allows you to run DOS or Windows commands and programs from within the Graphical Development Environment. You can add up to 16 commands to the Tools menu.
The Tools dialog box has a variety of commands and dialog boxes. They include:
Add
Displays a dialog box for adding a command to the menu.
Delete
Removes the selected item from the menu.
Move Up
Moves the selected item up one line on the menu list.
Move Down
Moves the selected item down one line on the menu list.
Menu Text
The text that will appear on the menu. An ampersand (&) defines the following letter as a shortcut key. The first letter is a shortcut key by default. To invoke an item by its shortcut key, press ALT+T+letter.
Path Name
The full path for the program.
Initial Directory
The current directory when the program runs. The actual directory is not changed.
Arguments
The arguments you would type on the DOS command line to run the program. If you check Ask For Arguments, you'll be queried for arguments when the application runs.
Ask for Arguments
The environment will prompt for tool arguments. Default arguments will be those listed in the Arguments edit field.
·To customize the Tools menu:
1.From the Options menu, choose Tools.
2.Select one of the commands described above and supply the information requested in the dialog box.
3.Choose OK to make your changes permanent.
4.Choose Cancel to return to the application.
