Symbols

The Symbols command displays and edits the current symbols.

This command opens the Symbols dialog box. The Symbols dialog box displays a list box of symbols and their corresponding IDs. The current symbol appears in one entry field above the list box and the ID in the other.

·To add a symbol:

1.From the Edit menu, choose Symbols.

The Symbols dialog box will appear.

2.Enter the symbol name in the Symbol field.

Optionally, enter an ID in the ID field.

3.Choose Add.

·To display unused symbols:

Check the Show Unused Symbols Only check box.

·To change a symbol:

1.Select it from the list box.

2.Modify the name of the symbol in the Symbol entry field.

3.Change the ID in the ID field.

4.Press the Change button.

·To delete a symbol:

1.Select it from the list box.

2.Press the Delete button.

3.After all changes are done, press OK.

When you remove a control from a dialog, the symbol and ID defined for that control are not automatically removed. If you click the Show Unused Symbols Only check box, you'll see the currently unused symbols and IDs, and you can remove them if you wish.
