The Tools command adds or removes applications from the QuickCase:W Tools menu. It also specifies any command-line parameters to pass to the tool when it is started.
·To add a tool to the Tools menu:
1.From the Options menu, choose Tools. The Tools dialog box appears.
2.Choose the Add button. The Add Tool dialog box appears.
3.Select the application to add to the Tools menu and choose OK. The Tools dialog box reappears.
4.Type the text you want to appear in the Tools menu in the Menu Text edit field. The default name is the base name of the executable file.
5.Put any command-line arguments to pass to the application in the Arguments edit field. If you leave this field blank, the application receives no arguments.
6.If you want the application's initial working directory to be different from the directory containing the application, enter it in the Initial Directory edit field.
7.Choose OK. The path, arguments, and initial directory contents are automatically transferred to the main dialog box.
8.Repeat Steps 2–7 for any additional tools.
9.Choose OK.
·To remove a tool from the Tools menu:
1.From the Options menu, choose Tools.
2.In the Menu Contents list box, select the application you want to remove.
3.Choose Delete.
4.Repeat Steps 2 and 3 for any additional tools.
5.Choose OK.
The following options are available:
Add
Adds a new application to the Applications list. Lets you set the properties (name, arguments, initial working directory) for the application.
Delete
Removes a selected application from the Tools menu.
Move Up
Moves the selected application up one position in the list of applications.
Move Down
Moves the selected application down one position in the list of applications.
