EXPENSE: Demonstrates a Pen Application with a Custom Dictionary

EXPENSE shows how to incorporate the user dictionary and an application-specific (custom) dictionary into a Microsoft(R) Windows(TM) for Pen Computing application.

EXPENSE is a typical generic expense report with several edit fields (employee name, employee number, department name, and department number). An expense report provides a good example because it accommodates different dictionaries and "wordlists" for the various edit fields in the report. EXPENSE registers itself as a pen-aware application so that its edit controls will be replaced by hedit controls.

EXPENSE was built with Windows version 3.1 and runs under Windows versions 3.0 and 3.1. In Windows version 3.0, the application provides edit controls but does not include boxed edit fields or picture fields.

EXPENSE requires PENWIN.DLL, which can be found in both Microsoft Windows for Pen Computing and the Microsoft Windows version 3.1 Software Development Kit (SDK).

For more information on using EXPENSE, see the EXPENSE.TXT file.
