named pipe:A one-way or bi-directional pipe that is created or opened by specifying a name. A server process creates one or more instances of the pipe, and other related or unrelated processes use the pipe name to open a handle to the client end of the pipe.
non-queued message:A message that is sent directly to a window procedure.
NTFS:New Technology File System. File system that supports object-oriented applications by treating all files as objects with user- and system-defined attributes. NTFS provides all the capabilities of FAT and HPFS without many of their limitations.
null brush:A logical brush which was created from a bitmap that matches the current window background colors. (A null brush is identical to a hollow brush.)
