HRESULT GetRefTypeOfImplType(
unsigned int index,
HREFTYPE FAR* pRefType
);
If a type description describes a COM class, it retrieves the type description of the implemented interface types. For an interface, GetRefTypeOfImplType returns the type information for inherited interfaces, if any exist.
The return value obtained from the returned HRESULT is one of the following:
Return value | Meaning |
---|---|
S_OK | Success. |
TYPE_E_ELEMENTNOTFOUND | Passed index is outside the range 0 to 1 less than the number of function descriptions. |
E_INVALIDARG | One or more of the arguments is invalid. |
TYPE_E_IOERROR | The function could not read from the file. |
TYPE_E_INVDATAREAD | Invalid data. |
TYPE_E_UNSUPFORMAT | The type library has an older format. |
TYPE_E_INVALIDSTATE | The type library could not be opened. |
If the TKIND_DISPATCH type description is for a dual interface, the TKIND_INTERFACE type description can be obtained by calling GetRefTypeOfImplType with an index of –1, and by passing the returned pRefType handle to GetRefTypeInfo to retrieve the type information.
