The toolkit you choose becomes part of your existing IDE and supplies tools for debugging and testing Windows CE-based applications. For example, the Windows CE Toolkit for Visual C++ 5.0 is equipped with an emulator that allows you to observe how your application functions without downloading your program to a target device. Also, the Windows CE Toolkit for Visual C++ 5.0 and the Windows CE Toolkit for Visual Basic 5.0 have tools that allow you to access a remote device from a desktop computer and perform Windows CE-specific tasks on the remote device.
