The link tracking service which runs on the DC can operate in a replicated environment. Therefore, the service is compatible with a domain which is constructed with replicated DCs in order to achieve scale. To minimize the impact on DCs, caching, logging, and batching are used to reduce the number of times the link tracking service actually needs to communicate with a DC.
