These functions are at a higher level than the low-level message functions and, in fact, wrap several of the low-level message functions and certificate functions into a single function that performs a specific task in a specific manner. These functions reduce the number of function calls that must be used to accomplish a task, thereby enabling quicker use of the CryptoAPI.
