You can use the AppUnloadRecursive method of the IIsWebDirectory object to unload Web applications that are running out-of-process. The applications at the specified key and at all subordinate keys will be unloaded. All of the application resources are released and the application processes are terminated. If the application is running in-process, the application is released if it is not being referenced by any other applications.
