The AttachByIFD method creates a communication link to a reader, using a supplied friendly name for the reader.

The possible return values are the following:

To attach a smart card call AttachByHandle.
To release an attachment call Detach.
To reconnect with the smart card without calling Detach and AttachByIFD, call Reconnect.
