SQL Server configuration options control various aspects of SQL Server performance and memory allocation. If you find that you need to adjust the SQL Server configuration, you can reset some of the configuration options to fine-tune performance and refine storage allocation. For example, for a new installation you will usually want to adjust the SQL Server memory option.
