If you are upgrading from an earlier SQL Server 6.0 installation, follow this procedure. From the directory containing the software compatible with your hardware platform's processor architecture, simply run the setup program and choose the Upgrade SQL Server and Utilities option. It is not necessary to run the CHKUPG.EXE utility, although it is advisable to do so.
