Configuring SQL Server for Automatic Startup

    After installation, to configure SQL Server as an automatically started service
  1. From the Microsoft SQL Server 6.0 program group, start SQL Enterprise Manager.
  2. From SQL Enterprise Manager's Server Manager window, open a server group and select a server.
  3. From the Server menu, choose Configurations.

    The Server Configuration dialog box appears.

  4. From the Server Configuration dialog box, choose the Server Options tab.
  5. Select the Auto Start Server At Boot Time Check box.
  6. Choose the OK button.

To cancel automatic startup of SQL Server, perform the same procedure but clear the Auto Start Server At Boot Time Check box.
