During the installation process, the setup program creates a number of output files in the \SQL60\INSTALL directory that can be useful for troubleshooting installation problems. The output files have the filename extension .OUT. If the setup program fails to complete, examine the .OUT files for information about what caused the failure. You can examine the .OUT file by using any text editor.
Each .OUT file represents an installation script. You can search for .OUT files by typing this command from the \SQL60\INSTALL directory:
dir *.out /od
The last file returned by this command will often be the .OUT file for the script that failed. In that .OUT file, the last line will often reference the error that caused the installation to fail.
