Microsoft SQL Server Programming SQL Distributed Management Objects provides syntax and reference information about the SQL Distributed Management Objects, 32-bit OLE Automation objects for the Microsoft® Windows® 95 and Microsoft® Windows NT™ operating systems. These objects, properties, methods, and collections are used to write scripts and programs that can administer multiple SQL Servers distributed across a network.
This book is written for developers and administrators who are writing scripts or programs to administer SQL Servers. It assumes that you are familiar with SQL Servers and with Microsoft® Visual C++ or the Microsoft® Visual Basic® programming system.
This book also assumes that you are familiar with DB-Library and/or ODBC, and with Transact-SQL™, the enhanced version of SQL (structured query language). For information about Transact-SQL, see the Microsoft SQL Server Transact-SQL Reference.
