Logo Requirements, Recommendations, and Best Practices

This reference section contains the formal specification for each programming guideline associated with the Designed for Microsoft® Windows® Logo. It includes three types of guidelines:

• Requirements. Your application must comply with all of these before it can receive the Designed for Microsoft® Windows® Logo.
• Recommendations. These guidelines are likely to become requirements in the future, so it is worth complying with them now.
• Best Practices. These guidelines are designed to help make your application work consistently and well in a Microsoft Windows environment, particularly in large enterprises.
