Finding Information with the Index

The Index tab contains a list of keywords that have been associated with many of the MSDN Library topics. This index is similar to a book index.

To locate a topic using the index

1. In the navigation pane, click the Index tab and then either type or select a keyword you want to find information about.
   
   
2. After you have selected a keyword, click Display.
   
   
3. From the list of topics found, select the topic you want and then click Display.

Note   When a subset is selected and you click the Index tab in the navigation pane, the entire Index will appear, but keywords that are not included in the active subset appear dimmed and are unavailable.
