Installing Internet Explorer with the MSDN Library

In order for the MSDN Library to function properly, you need to have version 3.02c or higher of a released version of Microsoft Internet Explorer installed on your system. If you do not have one of these versions installed, MSDN Setup will ask whether you want to exit Setup to install a newer version of Internet Explorer.

If you select Yes, MSDN Setup will halt and display a dialog box reading, "MSDN Setup was not completed successfully." You then must click OK and manually install Internet Explorer. For your convenience, the latest version Internet Explorer is included with your CDs, or connect to http://www.microsoft.com/ie/ to download the latest version. Refer to the Visual Studio 6.0 Readme file for more Internet Explorer setup instructions. If you are using Windows NT 4.0, you may need to install the Windows NT Service Pack 3. Check http://www.microsoft.com/support/winnt/ for more details.

If you select No, MSDN Setup will continue with the installation.
