Returns true (.T.) if the first byte of the first character in a character expression is the lead byte of a double-byte character.

Specifies the character expression that ISLEADBYTE( ) evaluates. Any bytes after the first byte in the first character in cExpression are ignored.
Remarks
ISLEADBYTE( ) returns true (.T.) if the first byte of the first character in a character expression is the lead byte in a double-byte character. If ISLEADBYTE( ) returns false (.F.), the character being tested is a single-byte character.
This function is useful for manipulating double-byte character sets for languages such as Hiragana and Katakana.
