The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSModerate: Requires basic macro, coding, and interoperability skills. When you search for a string in an attached dBASE database, the string is not found, even though the string does exist in the dBASE database.
CAUSEThis problem only occurs if you search for the string in the attached database using the wrong case and without selecting the Match Case check box first.
RESOLUTIONIn the Find dialog box, select and then clear the Match Case check box before choosing either of the Find buttons.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Access version 2.0. This problem no longer occurs in Microsoft Access version 7.0.
