SYMPTOMSNovice: Requires knowledge of the user interface on single-user computers. When you try to convert a Microsoft Access version 1.1 database to Microsoft Access 2.0, 7.0, or 97, and the database has a table with a field name that contains a backward apostrophe (`), you may receive the following error message:
In Microsoft Access 97: "The Microsoft Jet database engine could not find the object '<Table Name>'. Make sure the object exists and that you spell its name and the path name correctly." In Microsoft Access 2.0 and 7.0: '<Database name>' is not a valid filename CAUSEA backward apostrophe is allowed in table field names in Microsoft Access version 1.1, but is not allowed in Microsoft Access 2.0, 7.0 and 97.
RESOLUTIONRemove the backwards apostrophe from the table in version 1.1 before you try to convert the database.
