SYMPTOMSNovice: Requires knowledge of the user interface on single-user computers. When you type a date in the format M/D/YY where YY is a number from 00 through 29, Microsoft Access defaults to the years 2000 through 2029.
CAUSEYou have a newer version of Oleaut32.dll, which may have been installed by Microsoft Internet Explorer version 3.0 or Microsoft Windows NT version 4.0.
RESOLUTIONType all four digits for the year when you enter a date.
MORE INFORMATIONMicrosoft Access 7.0 and 97 both use Oleaut32.dll to determine what century to use for dates when you do not specify the full year.
