SYMPTOMSNovice: Requires knowledge of the user interface on single-user computers. When you use the Lookup Wizard to create a Lookup field in Design view of a table, you may receive the following error message:
The wizard was unable to create the relationship. CAUSEThis error can occur if the Lookup Wizard tries to create a relationship between the current table and the lookup table before you save the current table. This error does not occur if you accept the default table name when the wizard prompts you to save the current table.
RESOLUTIONSave the current table to give it a name before you run the Lookup Wizard.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Access 97. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
