In Microsoft Access 97, when you insert the Web Browser Control on a form, and you are using a computer that has Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 installed, you may receive the following error message when you try to display the control:
There is no object in this control.If you click OK in the message box, you receive the following additional message:
Run-time error '438' Object doesn't support this property or methodThis problem occurs if you are using the version of the Web Browser Control that is included on the Microsoft Office 97 Professional Edition compact disc in the ValuPack folder.
CAUSEThe file, Shdocvw.dll (version 4.701.300), is replaced with a newer version that is installed with Internet Explorer 4.0. Microsoft Access 97 does not recognize the newer version (4.71.1712.5) of the control.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Access 97. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
