SYMPTOMSModerate: Requires basic macro, coding, and interoperability skills. In Microsoft Access 97, when you use the "Merge It with MS Word" Wizard to merge a Microsoft Access table or query with a Microsoft Word 97 document, Microsoft Word 97 does not close automatically if the merge process fails.
RESOLUTIONYou must manually close Microsoft Word 97 if the "Merge It with MS Word" Wizard fails.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Access 97. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
