SUMMARYAdvanced: Requires expert coding, interoperability, and multiuser skills. If a Paradox table does not have a primary key, then it cannot be opened twice, even exclusively. This means it cannot be used in more than one place in a query or in code.
MORE INFORMATIONIf you attach or link a Paradox table that has no primary key, you cannot add or edit records in the table. If you create a query and add the table twice, you receive the following error:
Operation not supported on a Paradox table with no primary key. This can be confusing, because you can create the query that accesses the table twice, but if you try to use it, you receive this error. In addition, if anyone tries to get the output column list of the query, the error occurs. To avoid these problems, add a primary key to the Paradox table. Paradox is manufactured by Borland International, Inc., a vendor independent of Microsoft; we make no warranty, implied or otherwise, regarding this product's performance or reliability.
