SYMPTOMSIf either the CVDate() or IsDate() function is called with an empty string as the expression, such as CVDate(""), Microsoft Access causes a general protection (GP) fault.
RESOLUTIONVerify that you are passing valid date strings in the argument to CVDate() or IsDate().
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Access version 1.0. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Access version 1.1.
MORE INFORMATIONThe CVDate() function converts strings or numeric expressions to a variant of data type date. The IsDate() function returns a value indicating whether or not a variant argument can be converted to a date.
