Missing Characters Using TCP/IP-32 Telnet

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Telnet utility in Microsoft TCP/IP-32 to display contents of a file or directory listing of files, the first few characters of a line may be missing.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, do one of the following:

  • Using your mouse, click the area of missing characters.

    -or-

  • Minimize the Telnet utility, and then maximize it again.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in TCP/IP-32. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
