The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSWhile running Microsoft Internet Information Server version 3.0, there is a possibility that, under low memory conditions, the World Wide Web service will fail. The following STOP error message appears when Drwtsn32.exe is called to handle a user mode exception (this STOP error message usually does not produce a DRWTSN32 log file):
The instruction at "0x53d08b16" referenced memory at "0x00000010". The memory could not be "read". RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, obtain the hotfix below, or wait for the next service pack.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT version 4.0. A supported fix is now available, but has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to systems experiencing this specific problem. Unless you are severely impacted by this specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Service Pack that contains this fix. Contact Microsoft Technical Support for more information.
