Last reviewed: October 30, 1995

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Excel for Windows, version 5.0

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Excel, the zoom settings are not saved in the workspace file when you save a worksheet in a workspace.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Excel version 5.0c for Windows.

Note this problem does not occur in Microsoft Excel version 5.0 for the Macintosh.

MORE INFORMATION

Similar behavior occurs in Microsoft Excel version 5.0c for Windows: if you use the Freeze Panes command with a zoom setting, and you then save a file in a workspace, the zoom setting reverts to the default of 100%. In Microsoft Excel version 5.0 for Windows, the zoom setting reverts to 100% in all cases.
