SUMMARY

In Microsoft Excel, not all available toolbars are shown on the toolbar shortcut menu. This behavior is by design.

MORE INFORMATION

The toolbar shortcut menu does not display all available toolbars. Because of this, you may need to use the Toolbars or Customize dialog box to show or hide some toolbars. To show or hide a toolbar that is not on the toolbar shortcut menu, do either of the following:

  • On the toolbar shortcut menu, click Toolbars or Customize, and then make the appropriate changes in the Customize dialog box. Or, click the View menu, point to Toolbars, and click Customize.

        -or-

  • Create a custom toolbar that contains the buttons you want: the custom toolbar will be shown on the shortcut menu.

The toolbar shortcut menu provides a quick way to show or hide toolbars. It also gives quick access to the Toolbars dialog box. To show the toolbar shortcut menu, do the following:
  • In Microsoft Excel for Windows, use the right mouse button to click on any visible toolbar.
  • In Microsoft Excel for the Macintosh, press and hold the COMMAND and OPTION keys, and then click any visible toolbar.
  • In Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition, press and hold the CONTROL key, and then click any visible toolbar.

The following toolbars are displayed on the toolbar shortcut menu.
