XL5: GET.WORKBOOK(16) and GET.DOCUMENT(1) Not the SameLast reviewed: September 12, 1996Article ID: Q111973 |
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Excel for Windows, version 5.0
SUMMARYMicrosoft Excel Help states that the GET.WORKBOOK(16) function is equivalent to GET.DOCUMENT(1). This information is incorrect. The GET.WORKBOOK(16) function returns the name of the active workbook as text (for example, "Book1"). The GET.DOCUMENT(1) function, however, returns the name of the active sheet as text (for example, "[Book1]Sheet1") if there is more than one sheet in the workbook.
