You cannot use a Hercules or Hercules-compatible monochrome monitor with Microsoft Excel versions 5.0 and 7.0

Page 4 of the "User's Guide," states that you must use "a graphics display compatible with Microsoft Windows 3.1 or later, such as EGA or VGA."

In Setup for Windows 3.1, Hercules Monochrome is a valid option. However, Hercules is not supported by Microsoft Excel 5.0 for Windows, and this exclusion is not listed in the documentation.
