SYMPTOMSIn Microsoft Excel, when you use the Copy Picture command in an unsaved workbook, and you link this information to another application, the linked information is not updated, and you receive an error message when you activate or edit the linked object.
WORKAROUNDTo avoid this behavior when you link picture information from Microsoft Excel to another application, do any of the following:
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
MORE INFORMATIONThe following table shows the error messages that may appear when you use the Copy Picture command on a Microsoft Excel worksheet, and you select the Paste Link option in the Paste Special dialog box of the application to which you want to paste the information.
