XL5: Pressing F1 on Custom Dialog May Not Activate Help ButtonLast reviewed: September 12, 1996Article ID: Q116059 |
The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSIn Microsoft Excel version 5.0, it is possible to format one button in a dialog box as a Help button. If the dialog box is active and you press F1 on the keyboard, this button should be activated and any macro assigned to it should run. This does not happen, however, if an edit box, list box, drop-down, or scroll bar is the active item on the dialog box. Pressing F1 while any of these items is active has no effect.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Excel for Windows 95, version 7.0.
