The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Excel for Windows 95, versions 7.0, 7.0a
  • Microsoft Excel for Windows, versions 5.0, 5.0c

SYMPTOMS

When you apply a double border to cells formatted with a color and/or a pattern, the cells may be redrawn incorrectly. This redraw problem gives cells without patterns the same color or pattern as the cell directly below it.

This redraw problem may occur just after the double border is applied, after you print your document, or after you view it in print preview.

STATUS

Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

  1. Select cell A1 and apply any color or pattern to it.
