SYMPTOMSIn Microsoft Excel, when you paste an object to a worksheet in a workbook that has been password protected, you receive a general protection (GP) fault.
WORKAROUNDTo avoid receiving a GP fault when you paste an object to a worksheet, do either of the following:
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Excel for Windows version 5.0c.
