XL5: Calculation Err Msg Incomplete When Re-establishing Links

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Excel version 5.0, when you update or create links to a workbook that was not recalculated before it was last saved, you may receive the following error message:

   '' contains incomplete calculation.

This error message is incomplete. The error message should state

   '<Filename or formula>' contains incomplete calculation.

where <filename or formula> indicates the workbook to which you are attempting to update or create links.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Excel version 5.0 for Windows. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Excel version 5.0c for Windows.
