SYMPTOMSIn Microsoft Excel, accounting underlines will be displayed and printed higher in the cell than you may want. The accounting underline will overlap descenders (portions of characters that extend below the character's baseline).
WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, do the following:
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Excel for Windows version 5.0c.
