Article ID: Q121596
The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Query for Windows, version 1.0
  • Microsoft Query for Windows 95, version 2.0

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Query, when you add a table that contains multiple unique indexes to your query, only the first index that was created in the table appears in bold in the field list.

CAUSE

When you add a table to a query in Microsoft Query, if the table contains an index, the indexed field appears in bold type in the field list for the table. However, if your table contains more than one unique index, only the first index created for the table is displayed in bold.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
