XL5: Unable to Select Series in Some 3-D Charts

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft 5.0, you may not be able to select an entire series in a 3-D line chart if a blank series exists in the data. This problem also occurs with bar, column, and area 3-D charts.

MORE INFORMATION

When a 3-D line, bar, column or area chart contains data with a blank series, the next series is not selected. Instead, the first data point of that series is selected.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Excel for Windows version 5.0c.
