SYMPTOMSIn Microsoft Excel, when you print or view a worksheet in print preview, you may receive a general protection (GP) fault if the worksheet contains an OLE object.
CAUSEThis problem occurs if all of the following are true:
This problem does not occur if you save the worksheet after you set the print title. This is true even if you then remove the print title, and add a print title again. However, if you remove the print title, save the worksheet, and then add a print title again, the problem occurs. This problem does not occur with a vertical (column) print title.
WORKAROUNDTo avoid receiving a GP fault when you print your worksheet or view it in print preview, save the file that contains the worksheet after you insert a horizontal (row) print title.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
