XL7: Screen Refresh Problems After Opening Template

• Microsoft Excel for Windows 95, version 7.0

SYMPTOMS

After you open one of the templates included with Microsoft Excel for Windows 95, version 7.0, and then switch to another workbook, it may appear as though multiple cells are selected. This behavior will occur when you select different cells in the workbook (either with your mouse or with the Arrow keys on the keyboard).

WORKAROUND

When you experience these screen refresh problems, use one of the following methods to eliminate the problem:

• Activate any other sheet in the workbook, then reactivate the original sheet.

  -or-

• Press the Page Down key on your keyboard once, then press Page Up.

  -or-

• Use the scroll bars to scroll down the worksheet and then scroll back up the worksheet.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft Excel listed above. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
