SYMPTOMSWhen you save a Visual Basic for Applications module sheet as Basic code, you may receive the following error message:
Device I/O Error CAUSEThis error will occur under the following conditions:
WORKAROUNDSave the module sheet with a filename that will not (when combined with the path that the file is being saved to and the file extension) exceed 127 characters.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
