The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSWhen a pie chart is printed from Microsoft Excel, the border of the largest pie slice may be missing. This behavior may occur even if the border appears on your screen and in print preview.
CAUSEThis behavior may occur if the following conditions are true:
WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, use either of the following methods. Method 1: Change the border weight of the pie slices:
a. With the pie chart active, click once on one of the pie slices to select the data series. You will see the SERIES formula in the formula bar. b. On the Format menu, click Selected Data Series, and then click the Patterns tab. c. Click the Weight list in the Border group and click one of the first two choices in the list.Method 2: Change the Active Printer:
a. On the File menu, click Print. b. Click Printer Setup, click another printer, and then click OK. c. Click OK to print or click Cancel to return to Microsoft Excel without printing. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Excel version 5.x for Windows. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Excel version 5.0 for Windows NT and Microsoft Excel version 7.0 for Windows 95.
